About Good Report
Good Report is a current-events digest for K–12 students, written at your reading level. Every article you see has been hand-picked by a real editor - nothing gets published without a human review.
We don't write the news. We summarize it. Every story links to the original publisher, who owns the reporting, the words, and the byline. We strongly encourage clicking through to read the full piece.
Why this exists
Staying informed matters - for students, parents, and educators. But most news is written for adults, and most of it isn't designed with a classroom in mind. Good Report takes real, current news from trusted sources and makes it accessible to every grade level, from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
How it works
A human editor reviews headlines from dozens of reputable sources and selects stories worth covering. An AI then rewrites each selected story at four reading levels (K–2, Grades 3–5, Grades 6–8, and Grades 9–12). The editor reviews those summaries before anything goes live. What you see has passed both filters.
Reading levels
Every article card shows grade-band buttons. Tap your grade to read a summary written at your level. Older students can also generate an MLA citation for the original article for use in school reports.
Sources & credit
All summaries are based on original reporting from sources like CBS News, NBC News, ABC News, NPR, PBS NewsHour, BBC, ESPN, and regional North Carolina outlets. Headlines link to the original article. We do not host the content, claim authorship, or present our summaries as original reporting. Publishers retain full rights to their work. If you're a publisher and would prefer not to be included, contact us and we'll remove your feed promptly.

Good Report pulls from CBS News, NBC News, ABC News, NPR, PBS NewsHour, BBC, ESPN, and regional North Carolina outlets including WRAL, WCNC, ABC11, and others.
Is there a listen feature?
Yes. Each article has a "Listen" button that reads the summary aloud using your device's built-in text-to-speech. The reading speed adjusts automatically based on the selected grade level.
